Instructions for Hand-Operated C-Clip
There are some cases where bags have deflated while at sea, due to dramatic temperature changes and large fish sliding backwards over the bags, causing very small holes but enough to cause deflation over a long period. Once the bags lose primary pressure they still have excellent buoyancy capacity but loose their grip on the boat. In some conditions the bags will then be massaged off the boat. Although this situation is rare we now supply a hand-operated clip to be fitted to the back of the top rail, so if you are unfortunate enough to lose primary pressure the bag will not slip off the boat. It is important not to travel too far with the bags deflated as excessive flapping can delaminate the material.
